Especially for Momma Smith...

So while Momma Smith was in town she wanted to see an armadillo but only got to see our "giant rats" aka opossum. I actually think they are kinda cute. Besides the point, we got home the other night only to see an armadillo on our front lawn looking for some grub! Jared quietly sneaked into the house to grab the camera and was able to get some photos before the little guy high tailed it out of our front yard. I think they are kinda cute for not being furry. They are most definitely unique.

Happy New Year y'all! Our kind neighbor who likes to have the "keggers" invited us over for the fireworks show he was going to put on. This time it was not a kegger though. I would see it as rather dangerous and stupid to be lighting fireworks while being intoxicated. But apart from that they had munchies to go along with the show. His wife made some really good chicken wings. Our newest neighbors who happen to be LDS were there too.
Jared took these great pics the following night. It was supposed to be when you could see the moon and like three planets but we looked too late so we could only see one. It sure was bright though!
